Danny Boyle’s movie has swept up just about every award it has been nominated for including the coveted Best Motion Picture of the Year at the Oscar’s last month. Take a look through the movie’s IMDb Awards page for a rundown of how appreciated it has been and get ready for the Blu-ray release heading to the USA on the 31st March.

This will be a two-disc release with disc two occupied by the digital copy. Here’s a look at the extras to be found on disc one:

* Two commentaries, one with Danny Boyle and Dev Patel and the other with producer Christian Colson and writer Simon Beaufoy.
* Slumdog Dreams: Danny Boyle & The Making of Slumdog Millionaire.
* Twelve deleted scenes.
* Slumdog Cutdown

There will also be these Blu-ray exlcusive features:

* From Script to Screen: Toilet scene.
* Manjha – Indian short film.
* Bombay Liquid Dance music video.

Slumdog Millionaire will retain its original 2.35:1 aspect ratio in 1080p and boast both an English and Hindi DTS-HD Master 5.1 audio track. Retail price is set at $39.99 and although there hasn’t been an official release date given, various online retailers are listing the European Slumdog for the 4th May.
